Garden Thank You

I made this card for a lady at work who always buys her Thank You Cards from me.  She asked me a while back to make her a few more once my life settled down a bit, so here goes.  I used George cartridge for the larger flowers with brads holding them together, a flower hole punch for the smaller flowers and Everyday Paper Dolls for the grass x2.  I also inked the grass to give it more depth.  I also inked the blue sky.  The stems of the flowers were freehanded.  And the sentiment was computer generated.  Created 01/02/10

 2010 #3 Sketch
Ok, I am not loving this card.  I don't know what is wrong with it.  It could maybe be the colors, I did use the same 3-4 pieces of paper for all 3 sketches.  Anyways I first cut out the weird shape from the Calligraphy cartridge  it is a type of tag (? I think).  Anyways then I cut out the middle of it and added the floral print and cut 2 strips of hunter green paper one to hide the seem on the lower part of the floral print and the other one just to even out the design.  I then cut the flowers using George 2 different sizes and then finished it off with a red button center.  I glued it down along with 3 clear dew drop on the other flower centers.  (They are really hard to see in the photo) I then started on the top I inked the edges of both the rounded pieces.  Then I uesd a Martha Stewart border punch for the circle cut out.  I then stamped the sentiment and assembled the card on the light green cardstock and then pasted it to the white card.  Created 01/02/10

2010 #2 Sketch

I used George to cut out the flower 3 times in differnt sizes.  Then I pasted each flower on top of the next one and the n on the top one I used a red marker to jazz it up a bit.  I used a small circle for the center.  Once the flower was complete I cut it in half and pop dotted it to the card.  Then I stamped the senitment and attached it to the card as well.  Created 01/02/10

Thank You Bird

2010 #1 Sketch

I received several new cartridges and suplies for Christmas and here is the out come.  The bird is cut from the Home Decor cartridge and the letters are from the Calligraphy cartridge.  Once again I cut the front shorter and pasted the sentiment to the inside of the card.  I used 2 different paper for the background and the I cut the bird from dark red cardstock.  Then I used a piece of the stripe paper turned sideways for his wing.  I pop dotted the bird.  And also to hide the paper seem I used a white ribbon on the left side.  Created 01/02/10

Purple Thank You

Okie's challenge for 9/2 sketch #1. While I was looking through all of my papers trying to come up with an idea, I noticed that I had several shades of purple. So that became my idea. I would use all different shades of purple. I of course used George for the square, I just trimmed off the extra that was hanging over to end up with a diamond shape. Then I used the Home Decor cartridge for the motifs and then I just stamped on the thank you sentiment using very pale purple. I think that it all works together. I am most likely going to use this card to send to the guy that recharged my air conditioner in my car. At no charge. He is also big in to scratch off tickets.

Daisy Thank You

Sorry, I haven't done many cards or posted in a while. I have just been very busy. I have been working on several projects, they are just not complete yet. This afternoon I did complete these Thank You cards for my BFF's Wedding shower.

I know this is kinda hard to see but the paper is green and sparkly. I feel that you can never have to many thank you cards. I used George cartridge for both the flower and sentiment. Then just added a button and ribbon to finish it off.

Last Thank you card in my gift box. (that I have a photo of) I made a total of 8 but some times I didn't think to take pictures. This card is pretty simple. I found this weird green button with a hole in the center and decided to use it. Some how it just works. I think crafting is funny that way. July 2009

Thanks a Melon

I made a bunch of thank you cards for a co- worker that normally would purchase cards from me, as a get well gift. Mary had bought all of the thank you cards that I currently had made, before she went in for surgery last month. I was going to send her get well flowers but instead decided that she would get more joy out of my cards. So I made her several card and fancy flower pens and then I put them all in a beautiful floral gift box. More to follow. I used Doodlecharms cartridge.
